Under Minister Nara Lokesh’s Leadership, Kadapa Launches ‘Invest Kadapa’ Today to Fast-Track Industrial Investments

In a major step towards strengthening Kadapa’s industrial ecosystem and creating a more investor-friendly environment, the Kadapa district administration has established ‘Invest Kadapa’, a dedicated investment facilitation centre at the Kadapa Collectorate, which is set to be inaugurated today.

The initiative, being implemented under the aegis of Minister for Education, IT & Electronics and Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh, aims to position YSR Kadapa district as an attractive destination for national and international investments by providing investors with end-to-end facilitation through a single platform.

The ‘Invest Kadapa’ centre has been conceptualised as a single-window investor facilitation hub, enabling prospective investors to access information on land availability, sectoral opportunities, government permissions, infrastructure and other project requirements without having to approach multiple departments individually.

The initiative is being spearheaded by District Collector Cherukuri Sridhar, with the objective of creating a coordinated mechanism between investors and various government departments and ensuring faster resolution of implementation-related bottlenecks.

The ‘Invest Kadapa’ platform will operate through five key verticals:

1. Land Bank Desk:
A comprehensive digital land bank of the district will provide information on available land parcels, including details on location, extent, connectivity and project suitability. The desk will also coordinate site inspections and field visits for prospective investors.

2. Opportunities Desk:
The desk will proactively identify and package investment opportunities across priority and emerging sectors and connect them with prospective investors. Key areas include industry and manufacturing, mining, solar, wind, renewable energy, pumped storage projects, tourism and real estate, among others.

3. Investor Handholding Team:
A dedicated team will provide personalised support to investors by understanding project requirements, identifying suitable locations, facilitating site visits and coordinating with concerned departments to resolve implementation issues.

4. Departmental Convergence:
The platform will serve as a single interface between investors and government departments. Nodal officers from relevant departments will coordinate through the platform to facilitate faster processing, clear communication and seamless movement of investment proposals.

5. Project Tracking & Facilitation:
Investment proposals will be tracked from concept to commissioning, with the team following up on land, approvals, clearances, infrastructure and other requirements. Potential bottlenecks will be identified proactively and escalated for timely resolution.

Focus on high-potential sectors

The initiative will focus on sectors with significant potential in Kadapa, including industries and manufacturing, agriculture and food processing, mining and mineral-based industries, solar and wind energy, renewable energy, pumped storage projects, tourism and hospitality, real estate and infrastructure, and other emerging sectors.

The centre will also provide investors with comprehensive digital information through a digital kiosk, enabling them to access details about the district’s industrial potential, available opportunities and relevant project information at a single location.

By bringing together land information, investment opportunities, investor handholding, departmental convergence and project tracking, ‘Invest Kadapa’ seeks to reduce procedural delays and create a more efficient and transparent investment facilitation mechanism.

The district administration expects the initiative to attract micro, small, medium and large-scale industries, generate new employment and self-employment opportunities, and provide greater avenues for the youth of Kadapa.
