The recently introduced MOTOTRBOTM SL300 two-way radio from Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: MSI) won the GOOD DESIGN Award 2014. This award – presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies – recognizes cutting-edge product designs from around the world. The SL300 represents a breakthrough in commercial push-to-talk radio design, and is stylish, slim and less than half the weight of previous-generation radios.

The SL300’s innovative Active View display uses a matrix of LEDs behind the radio housing to communicate radio information and shuts off when not in use to conserve battery life.
