Mumbai: As many as 150 system integrators specialized in security witnessed a session on cybersecurity, with exciting live demos and anecdotes. Ccure Ongo, a first of its kind tools for Cyber Security developed in India was officially launched and introduced to the market by its developers Icatch Infosec.
A range of Security tools including Ccure Ongo Anti Theft (For Mobile phones), Cure Ongo Anti Hacking (For Mobile,PC and Server), Ccure Ongo Anti Ransomware (For Mobile,PC and Server), Ccure Ongo Box, Ccure Ongo Anti Keylogger and Ccure Ongo Delete were presented at the event.
A live demonstration about hacking and Ransomeware workings, attacks and protection were given by acclaimed ethical hackers Nikhil Mahadeshwar and Vinith Jain. The experts focused on how hackers hack your systems and encrypt your data which then becomes inaccessible, ransom in bitcoins is demanded to decrypt these files.
Ccure Ongo AntiRansomware disables any kind of encryption of the data and gives an alert if any files begins encrypting thereby saving valuable data, the company claims, adding that mobile phones are now vulnerable to hacking as never before, as we use multiple apps and sites which may be malicious. These Malware attack the systems and steals private informations, including photos ,videos, call logs, messages, and even the content in the Whatsapp.
Multiple applications are installed by us for various purpose. This apps makes our mobile
phones prone to hacking by taking various access permissions. These permissions allows them to use your data including contacts, call logs, notes, messages, images, location etc, it said.
Not only this,these permissions to use microphone and cameras may make the hacker use your microphone and camera even when your phone is in locked position. It also enables hackers to view your live locations, hear your live conversations and take live videos even sitting at a remote location miles away. All in all not only your data but your privacy is 100% compromised. The guests present were left agape and amazed by the threats and vulnerability of data to theft and misuse. Lots of curiosity and excitement prevailed throughout the presentation.
Vasant Tanje, Founder and Chairman, Icatch Infosec, explained how over the years these cyber threats are taking new and dangerous turn. He said ‘ while I was working with ATS and Cyber Crime branch I realised that there is little to do to solve cyber crime cases and police was rendered helpless in most of them. I decided to put my efforts in these direction and teamed up with some highly talented developers and ethical hackers to cope this situation. Today we have developed a whole range of products which intends to save personal cyber-space of people .
Dhaval Shah of Medh systems appreciated the products and claimed that these Products are a necessity today. As we lock and protect our valuables at our home we need to protect our valuable data, photos,videos, messages etc. from hackers using such apps and softwares. We have to be pro active in saving our cyber space. The new phase of thieves are not the petty pickpockets but adept system hackers,and these are many a times more harmful than the traditional thieves.
According to Vivek Gandhi,CEO Software Mart, as the threats to cyberspace goes on increasing, softwares and apps to protect our valuable data,personal information from hacking and ransom calls have become need of the hour.
