Emergency Meeting was organised by Confed-ITA on 29 October 2014, 4.00PM at The League club, Chennai. This meeting was hosted by Sneham-Chennai. Confed-ITA President M. Natrajan welcomed the gathering and meeting was called to order. Member association Presidents and district association representatives shared their views on OLS issue. Member RD’s also shared their views, opinions, future course of actions and possible solutions.
Finally 3 Point decision was handed over to floor to get the majority of opinion. As per the majority opinion the following resolutions were decided.
1. It was unanimously decided to stop billing from ND’s and Manufacturers for all IT products from 1st of November 2014 till further information and advisory from Confed-ITA.
2. During the billing ban period, Once any Vendor comes to support for an understanding to meet the demands of Confed-ITA as per the resolution sent earlier then billing will be revoked for that particular vendor. It will be conveyed properly and billing will happen only after three days from the date of decision.
3. During the ban period if at all any b2b orders loaded already with ND can be executed after getting a consent and an approval from respective district association president.
4. Any non compliance to the resolution from RDs/SubDs/Members will be seriously viewed and appropriate action will be taken.
5. It was decided to support and join for Dharna called by CAIT on 31st October 2014.
All the RD’s present in the meeting have confirmed their support. Vote of thanks was given by P G. Sunil kumar, Jt. secretary of Confed-ITA and Ram Meenakshi Sundar of Sneham. After National Anthem meeting was adjourned.
