The digital security landscape is undergoing a rapid transformation, with artificial intelligence (AI) emerging as a pivotal force. As cybersecurity threats grow in sophistication and volume, organizations and their channel partners are turning to AI-powered solutions to create more resilient defenses. This shift marks a significant evolution from reactive, human-intensive security models to proactive, predictive, and highly efficient systems. The integration of AI is not only redefining how threats are detected and neutralized but is also fundamentally changing the roles of channel partners, who are transitioning from simple product sellers to strategic security advisors. In an interview Samuel David Raj, MD, Felix infotech, Chennai speaks on the way AI powered cybersecurity is coming up.

How is the integration of AI-powered solutions, such as Intelligent SecOps and AI-powered SIEM, changing the cybersecurity landscape for channel partners?

AI is a game-changer for channel partners in India. We’re moving from being just product sellers to strategic security advisors. With intelligent SecOps and AI-powered SIEM, we can now offer a proactive, predictive, and highly scalable security posture to our clients. Instead of just reacting to threats, we can use AI to analyze vast amounts of data in real-time, identify potential risks, and automate routine tasks. This empowers us to deliver more comprehensive and efficient security outcomes, solidifying our role as a trusted partner in the market.

Can you elaborate on how AI-human synergy helps in combating “alert fatigue” and improving the overall efficiency of security operations?

Alert fatigue is a major pain point for security teams. AI-human synergy is the perfect solution. The AI acts as a tireless first responder, sifting through millions of daily alerts and filtering out the noise. It flags only the most critical incidents for human analysts to review. This partnership ensures that valuable human expertise isn’t wasted on repetitive tasks. Instead, it’s focused on complex, high-stakes threats that require human intuition and a deeper understanding of the business. By automating the mundane, we free up our clients’ security teams to be more strategic and effective.

From a financial perspective, what are the key benefits and return on investment (ROI) that organizations can expect from adopting AI in their cybersecurity strategies?

The ROI of adopting AI in cybersecurity is very strong. It’s not just about preventing costly data breaches and downtime, which are significant savings in themselves. It’s also about gaining operational efficiency. By automating threat detection and response, companies can reduce their manual labor costs. This leads to a faster time to detection and a quicker resolution of incidents. A strong cybersecurity posture, built on AI, also enhances a company’s brand reputation and customer trust, which are invaluable assets in today’s digital economy.

Beyond the current trends, what untapped potentials do you see in areas like XDR, Zero- Trust, and MDR, and how are channel partners preparing to capitalize on them?

We see immense untapped potential in areas like XDR, Zero-Trust, and MDR. XDR provides a unified view of threats across multiple security layers, which is a major upgrade from traditional, siloed solutions. Zero-Trust is no longer a concept but a necessity in today’s digital world. For many businesses, particularly SMEs, MDR provides a managed service that helps them access top-tier security without having to build their own security operations center. Channel partners in India are preparing by upskilling our teams, forging strong partnerships with technology vendors, and creating bundled solutions that make it easier for our clients to adopt these advanced frameworks.

What are some of the key emerging market segments, and what role do channel partners play in delivering security outcomes to these new areas?

Several key market segments are emerging, and channel partners are playing a crucial role in them. One major area is SaaS tools, as businesses increasingly rely on cloud-based applications. We provide the necessary security add-ons and management to secure these environments. The rise of a remote and hybrid workforce has also created a need for better agent monitoring, and partners are essential for providing that expertise. Lastly, the public sector and regulatory landscapes are a growing focus. Indian partners are uniquely positioned to help government organizations and regulated industries meet strict compliance and security requirements. Our local presence and understanding of the unique market dynamics make us a vital link in delivering these security solutions.
