The trial runs for a specific rule and regulations implemented are always experimental in the IT industry. The plans for the development in these areas are not very fast or able to take it to the next level due to certain restrictions. These kinds of restrictions are directly impacting the retail vendors in their business and sales.

Trichy Association of Computer Traders was formed in 2003, the association’s main objective was to understand the problems faced by the retailers in the form of trading, business, and sales. In some cases, the associations deal with the vendor problem, and how those problems are taken to the government for taking any further decisions and actions. Another major issue like e-commerce sales matching issues because the online price is vertical that is impacting the retailers in selling. The main area where the association is concentrating on the welfare of the members of the association.
“In this IT industry, development takes place very quickly. So the knowledge and skill in this area should be updated very frequently to sustain in this industry. Some people won’t have the potential to grasp the techniques easily. People who are able to adopt those will grow very easily”. Said Mr. Sureshbabu M, President, Trichy Association of Computer Traders.
Association members
Those who are in the field of business, hardware, software sales are mostly into this association. The association is not expecting certain qualifications that are necessary for joining the association. Management and administration skills are some of the main criteria on which the members should be focused for joining the association. The retailers who are being affected by the market, sales, and payment issues are mostly concentrated on this association. The association is mainly focused and located at Trichy. The team is not having a particular office at present but the plan for executing a separate office is in the pipeline which is being in process for the execution.
Expansion
The association is trying to share the knowledge and skills with its fellow members, which are very necessary for sustaining in this market. At present, the team is concentrating on improving the quality of the vendors, which will help them to collaborate with other states of the country. These expansions will create an impact in the business like in the case of payment issues, where the association plays a major role in rectifying the problem by hearing the justification. Members will be relieved from the association if they are default in doing their payments This happens when are vendors are not receiving proper payments from their clients. The demand for commodities is increasing day by day. The method of automation has impacted an expansion where all the works are taken by the lower authorities in the industry. The association is also planning to come up with International Trading which is the pipeline, they are trying to come up with some products which need to be manufactured in India rather than importing from other countries. People are ready to invest in the market but a proper guideline plan is not delivered from the concerned people for taking it to the next stage.
“The expansion will take place only if the people in the higher position also take part in dealing with the issues. The issues are given to the lower authority people at present for getting the report delivered which won’t give way for the expansion” added Suresh
Demand and Sales
Brand image and brand loyalty lost their importance during the time of the pandemic. The customers were mostly concentrated on getting the product whatever brand it was as during that time the time was so high which led to the lack in product supply. The existing products which were available in stock started to move very fast. More demand is coming from the call centers recently which faced a major boom. The software companies, and in the education sectors. AMD and Nvidia are currently a huge requirement in the market from the clients. “In the current trend in the market, the demand is also coming from gaming technology companies where their requirement is very high in terms of hardware. New people or students coming into the industry are very intelligent, educated they are ready to take the risk. They are having very high research skills”. added Suresh.
Covid-19
Covid-19 pandemic has not really impacted the IT industry, because this is the time when the work culture changed. A lot of IT companies had a good turnover because there was huge demand and sales happening. Product prices were increasing at this time because there was a lack of supply from the companies. Prices also increased from 25 to 35 percent for each product and have led to an increase in investment.
“Most of the retailers are coming from the north and they are also not joining the association which is the biggest problem. The association is also planning to put up working hours limits for the retailer after this post-pandemic”. Concluded Suresh.
