According to him, the other focus of the association also includes collaborating with other relevant associations like Nasscom, and CII and liaisoning with the Indian Govt to get due recognition for the association. “Our other focus will be to organize a successful tech summit after a gap of three years and to provide value add to members in areas of resource planning, training, and development.”, Vinod said further adding that the association will further be improving the OEM- Channel relationship and interaction is indeed one of the charters of ISODA as well as the current MC. “We will be taking feedback and point of view of both the OEM’s the members deal with as well as of the channel members and try to solve any expectations gaps.”

In the new chapters, Vinod observed that the regional secretaries are covering the probable members in their region and educating them about the deliverables ISODA brings to them as an association and the entire management team is working with a vision of making ISODA bigger and stronger. New chapters will be opened as per need but the current goal will be to strengthen the current chapters.

On making English a common communication language:

One common feedback among the members from the non-Hindi regions of India is that most of the discussions in forums happen majorly in Hindi. Many members have feedback that the association should strictly follow English during their official discussion so that everyone in the meeting room or conference calls can feel inclusive.  Responding to that feedback, Vinod said, “English has always been and will be the preferred mode of communication in our meetings, conferences, or summits. Considering the feedback highlighted, we will now take extra care to ensure this is followed nationally and in all regions.”
