Tata Docomo launches ‘Freedom Plan’ for postpay customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Tata Docomo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices Limited, launched an exciting value-for-money ‘Freedom Plan’ for its new and existing postpay GSM customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This is in-line with the company’s continuous endeavor to provide innovative and economic telecom products for its customers.

tata_docomo_1The ‘Freedom Plan’ encapsulates a fine mix of voice and data benefits at a monthly rental of Rs. 499. This plan offers a combination of free 1400 minutes, which can be used for local/STD/on-net outgoing roaming; 2 GB data and 2000 local and national SMSes bundled together per month. In addition to this, customers will have the choice to make local and STD mobile calls to any network at just 1p/s, on the basis of a pay-per-second pulse tariff, beyond the free minute’s usage. Customers will be charged Rs. 300 as an initial deposit, which will be adjusted subsequently in the 5th, 6th and 7th monthly bills.

Commenting on the launch of the ‘Freedom Plan’, Mr. Abhijit Kishore, Head, Mobility Business Unit, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Circle, Tata Docomo, said, “The ‘Freedom Plan’ has been launched to encourage our growing postpay consumer base to make maximum use of their monthly plans. This is the latest addition in our ever-expanding portfolio of differentiated and affordable offerings. We continue to deliver on our promise to provide refreshingly different and value-for-money plans that suit the various needs of our customers and the ‘Freedom Plan’, offering a combination of free voice, data and SMSes is an extension of this maxim.”

Mobility is ubiquitous in the digital age, and our mobile devices are gateways through which we connect with the world. According to reports, 85% of mobile users have stated that devices are a central part of everyday life. While the report states that consumers agree to the fact that calling and texting is the core function of the mobile phone, more than nine out of ten consumers say that access to content through mobile is critical for them to remain connected on-the-go. The new postpay plan aptly serves the growing needs of customers looking for a fine balance between data, voice and SMS services in postpay plans.
