Tejas Networks wins India Innovation Award

Tejas Networks Limited announced that it has been declared a winner of the Clarivate Analytics India Innovation Awards 2016 – Top 50. Clarivate Analytics (formerly the IP & Science division of Thomson Reuters), recognizes the most innovative companies in India according to patent-related metrics that get to the essence of what it means to be truly innovative. Clarivate Analytics India Innovation Awards 2016 is based on analysis done on Derwent World Patents Index, the world’s most trusted and authoritative value-added patent database.

Clarivate Award Trophy“Clarivate Analytics congratulates Tejas Networks for being one of the winners of the Clarivate Analytics India Innovation Awards 2016 – Top 50. The award honours the most innovative commercial enterprises, research organizations and academic institutions headquartered in India for their innovation in R&D as represented by both the level and quality of patents”, said Arvind Pachhapur, South Asia Head of Clarivate Analytics.

“We are delighted to be selected as a Top-50 Indian Innovator for 2016. We feel truly honoured to be listed alongside many of India’s biggest names in business, academia and research and believe that this prestigious award further validates our commitment to innovation and technology excellence. At Tejas, R&D and innovation is a key part of our strategy to stay ahead of the technology curve and gain a competitive edge in our product,” said Sanjay Nayak, CEO & MD of Tejas Networks.

As per Clarivate Analytics, the Top-50 Indian Innovators lead the country in innovation output. They are a group of businesses and research institutions that develop, recognize and protect great ideas and use it to their full potential. The metrics used to determine these leaders are a combination of patent volume (patents published) as well as patent quality (grant success rate, extent of globalization, and citations). The threshold for inclusion of an organization in the analysis for the award is at least 25 patents published by the organization during the period 2013-2015.
