In a chat for Cell IT, Ramasamy Balasubramanian, Founder and director, KKM Soft, said “We are aiming on becoming a 300cr company and we also have plan to roll out IPO soon and become a unavoidable stakeholder in the auto and its dependent industries.”
KKM Soft, as a business has three major verticals-Digital prototyping Software solutions ( Concept), Design Automation Consultancy & Content Services(consulting) and Training & Certification (training). In the concept wing, the company takes part actively in design and virtualization segment in 3-D related projects while the consultation wing focuses majorly as an external consultant in sectors like architecture, construction and engineering. The Chennai-based partner has a state-of-the-art training facility focusing mainly the engineering students. “The major challenge for the industry is the availability of software-savvy skilled man power in the field of engineering, manufacturing and designing. The key reasons are many students from the mechanical and other non-IT stream prefer software jobs for many reasons. However, we want to create an awareness that by getting accustomed to certain software, they can get on to tech-related job in their own industry” . KKM Soft is also a part of various government training initiatives including the Skill India. KKM Soft, which trains over 10,000 students every year, reiterated its commitment to provide quality and skilled manpower to the growing industry needs by placing the best trainees in various industries around the world, says Ramasamy.
Cloud Is Pre-mature In India
Commenting on the increasing 100%-cloud model by some Software players, Ramasamy said, the full-cloud model is still in a pre-mature stage and still a long way to go. “I personally feel that India is in the bottom of the py
ramid with the cloud-adoption model. However, the nations in other markets are way ahead. KKM Software key focus is supposedly to be in the construction and architecture industry more than the auto segments and Ramasamy has data to justify them. “If you notice the rate of a finished compact, premium or even a SUV car, in the past two decades, one cannot find a major price hike. However, the construction industry (for a finished product) is 20X higher than what it was 20 years earlier”.
Recent Office space:
KKM Soft never misses to attract the visitors in terms of the office space. Last September, KKM Soft has inaugurated its
Technology Innovate Centre (TIC) at its new corporate office in Chennai. TIC is a part of KKM Soft’s expansion into high-end performance consulting business which targets ‘companies that make things’, according to the company. The new corporate officel houses its consulting and training division apart from providing a unique work atmosphere for the company’s core administration. Additional information on the facility is the innovation center works completely with Sun light and is designed in a way there is no need for any form of artificial light.
Virtual Reality and Expansion plans:
KKM Soft, has an advanced, fully-equipped state-of-the art studio for virtual-reality business and training. “Virtual reality is actually way ahead of what we compare it to basic games and in mobile applications. We will implement our VR capability in all the projects we undertake”, Ramasamy said. On the expansion plans, he said that the company is planning an expansion across APAC region both directly and indirectly. The other major plans include becoming a 300 cr company and rolling out IPO this financial year. The company has also won an award in the recent ISODA summit happened in Vietnam. Under the Niche Technology category, the company has been announced winner.
