Accelerating the IT development in Eastern India, HCM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Cognizant’s new facility in Bhubaneswar. CM said the entry of Cognizant marks a significant milestone for new Odisha & further solidifies its reputation as leading IT investment destination.
CM said Odisha has emerged as “Destination of the Future” with growing scale of investment, talent pool. These factors have become cornerstones of the state’s journey towards growth & development which are fuelled by a robust ecosystem encouraging entrepreneurship & innovation.
The new centre of Cognizant is spread over 52,000 sqft & is designed to accommodate 1,000 associates in hybrid work environment & is located at Odisha Technology Centre. The centre is projected to be expanded further to accommodate 5,000+ associates in two years.
Pr Secy of EIT Odisha Shri Manoj Kumar Mishra said the establishment of Cognizant’s new centre not only signifies their confidence in Odisha’s potential but also highlights the remarkable strides the state has made in attracting top industries to its burgeoning IT landscape.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Shri Tusharkanti Behera, Minister of State, Electronics & IT, Sports & Youth Services & Home, Shri Kartik Pandian, Chairman 5T & NabinOdisha, and other senior officials.
