Unemployed youth to get Rs 1000 per month

downloadChief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said Yuva Nestam programme would be launched on October 2 to provide unemployment dole of Rs 1000 each. He said that the Yuva Nestam programme aimed at empowering youth by providing skill development, self employment opportunities and use the youth power for development of economy.

Replying to a short discussion on Yuva Nestam in AP Legislative Council today, the Chief Minister said youth should develop positive attitude and opt for continuous learning by updating skills using technology.

The Chief Minister said that the state govt has been providing skill development training to 10 lakh youth and providing employment opportunities to youth. He said 260 training partners were appointed to train and provide employment opportunities to youth. The training partners were appointed from Singapore, Germany and UKk too.

The Chief Minister said Gnana Bheri, Yuva nestam and skill development programmes are aimed at empowering youth. He stressed the need using the youth power. He said that the state govt encouraging industrialisation to provide employment to youth and improve economy. He said the double digit growth would be possible only with development of economy. He said for the first time the Yuva Nestam programme is proposed to be implemented in a big way in Andhra Pradesh and no other state has been implementing the programme.

The Chief Minister said if the Centre came forward to extend cooperation by sanctioning railway zone, steel plant at Kadapa, Port and special status to state there would be an opportunity to provide employment to lakhs of people. However the central govt released Rs 1500 cr for development of Amaravati capital. Despite of lack of cooperation from the central govt, the state govt has taken up several irrigation projects including Polavaram project and making efforts to complete them.

The chief minister said 30 per cent of mobiles are being manufactured in Andhra Pradesh and it should be increased upto 50 per cent. He said Kia motors was set up in Anantapur district and Rayalaseema would be developed as automobile hub
