The public satisfaction has increased to 62%

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu interacted with the collectors and other officials through a video conference on ODF, Grievances and other issues today at the Secretariat.

cm_conf_collectors“The public satisfaction has increased to 62% this month as per our data and we are aiming for 65% for the next coming months. There definitely are some issues but I’m happy with the way we are marching ahead” , said the Chief Minister.

“Our ultimate goal is to take the satisfaction levels to 80%. We have to look to increase the satisfaction levels by 3-4% every month”, he added

“This can be achieved by increasing productivity and providing every citizen with effective governance. Every individual should have access to a great society to live along with socio, political and economic development”, he added.

In order to resolve all the grievances across the state in real time, the Chief Minister asked the officials to make 1100 helpline more effective and develop a mechanism that reduces the waiting time for the common citizen.

“The grievances and demands must be met and addressed at the earliest and a strong mechanism must be built to facilitate the same”, he added.

Directing the officials to focus on certain key areas, he said, “We are aiming at a growth of 15%. Let’s have a targeted approach and look to achieve our goals. Village infrastructure, health, fighting malnutrition must also have specified goals and a strategic approach must be taken to achieve them.”

Informing the Chief Minister of their action plans for addressing the grievances in February, the officials said that they will be doing a 360 degree verification and classification of grievances and all the grievances received through IVRS will be acted upon with utmost priority.

The Chief Minister was also informed that during the recently concluded Janmabhoomi, 3.7 lakh grievances were verified and are being resolved. He asked the collectors to resolve all non financial grievances within this month and all financial grievances at the earliest.

“No compromise must be made to resolve the grievances as citizen satisfaction is our top priority.”, he added.

He also asked every department to take ownership and accountability and create an eco system which can create a smooth way of solving the grievances.

Discussing the policies and steps towards making the state Open Defecation Free (ODF) by March 2018, the Chief Minister asked officials to conduct sessions and workshops on Swaccha Andhra Pradesh on every fourth Saturday across schools and offices. “This move can help in targeting more than 1 crore population across the state”, he said.

“In order to achieve this level of reach for Swaccha Andhra Pradesh initiative,  Principals, Vice Chancellors and other senior officials in charge of the institutions must encourage this through cultural programs, essay writing competitions and sports”, he added.

The video conference was also attended by Swacch Bharat officials from Government of India who commended the AP government for their initiatives for making the state ODF by March 2018 and assured the Chief Minister of every possible cooperation.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the performance of all the districts and their ODF status. Officials also reported the status of the E-Office initiative of Government of Andhra Pradesh which aims to make all the paper work digital.

“Knowledge, rules, regulations and every aspect that can come in handy for the officials must be updated online. We need to go paperless at the earliest”, he said.
