The Indian School of Business is joining hands with two government bodies of Andhra Pradesh who are extensively working on Skill Development in the state. ISB signed an MoU with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA) to offer skilling programmes for citizens.
As part of this initiative, ISB is offering two joint certification courses in Business Literacy and Behavioural Skills through APSSDC and Digital Literacy and Entrepreneurial Literacy through APITA, through which students of Andhra Pradesh could become more employable and industry ready. ISB is offering these programmes as foundational elective courses in an asynchronous format, keeping in mind the changes coming up through the National Education Policy.
The MoU for APSSDC-ISB was inked by Shri N BangaraRaju, MD, APSSDC and the APITA-ISB MoU was inked by Shri T Anil Kumar, CEO, APITA. Professor Deepa Mani, Deputy Dean – Executive Education and Digital Learning at ISB, signed on behalf of the ISB. The MoUs were exchanged in the presence of Shri K Ajay Reddy, Chairman, APSSDC and Professor MadanPillutla, Dean of Indian School of Business.
On this occasion, APSSDC MD N. Bangaraju said that.. in the current scenario, Behavioral Skills and Business Literacy Skills are required for every student for his career and hence training will be imparted in collaboration with ISB to empower the youth. He said that the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri. Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was determined to provide soft skills along with education to make them employable.

Professor K. Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman, APSCHE spoke on the occasion and said that such courses will add to the confidence-building measure among students. He also mentioned that these courses of ISB would get the necessary credit equivalence8 thereby offering students a wider choice of courses.
