Feedback from Exhibitors Of Gitex 2024

B Swaminathan

GITEX GLOBAL 2024 had recently concluded its 44th edition. With over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from 180 countries, this year’s GITEX attracted more than 200,000 visitors, marking its highest international turnout to date. Held in Dubai, the event showcased the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and its transformative impact on industries across the globe. Here are some of the feedbacks from the exhibitors on how they feel participating in Gitex 2024.

Mahmoud Effat, ITWorx

Earlier It was just people from the GCC use to visit. However, now, I can see people coming from countries that are really far from this region, interested to invest in this region, interested to know more about the market trends here and how things are moving. So that’s also a good thing. I think it’s reaching a bigger, let’s say, sector of people within the tech world, which is which opens for us more doors into exploring what happens in GCC and also the world, not just in this region it works.

Maan Al Saleh, Leading Cloud solutions company

You can say that the vision for this year and towards artificial intelligence, machine learning solutions, converting everything to smart. Smart data centres, smart cities and more. And I see the industry is going in that direction. So, you can see AI anywhere and everywhere. It’s totally different than last year. As far as the channel resellers are concerned, they should have the right team from professional service, pre sales to deliver the right solution to the right customers.

Manidhar Rao, Mindware

This is the 6th time I am attending Gitex. I find the crowd so huge this time. This year, more concentration on the AI capabilities and talks were around where the AI can be implemented. And you can see the companies coming up, the startups coming up on those lines. Coming years I am sure the numbers will keep on increasing, and the people will keep on coming from the different countries, because I have seen now people coming from all over the world and I can see the people like Iran, Saudi , Kuwait, Oman and more.

Pranjal Pant, Delphi Consulting

The experience was really nice because, we got to meet a lot of like-minded people. Standing, you know, next to similar companies who are working with us together gives a feel of how the markets are working out for them versus how it’s working out for us. Because when visitors walk up to you and they come to you, then two of the three things happen, right? The experience was really nice because, you know, you’ve got to meet a lot of like-minded people. In fact, you know, standing, you know, next to similar companies who are working with us together, you know, trying to get a feel of how the markets are working out for them versus how it’s working out for us. So it’s been great. It has been fun and a pleasant experience overall.

Arun Mohan, AdFols

People from legacy businesses jump into AI. However, even before jumping into this, other problems come up. Many customers struggling with moving to cloud still not pickle up. Good thing is that they kept all the cloud companies together. It is a good sign. Many customers move to cloud, and they are thinking what to do next. Everybody thinks it’s AI. Actually, it’s not. Nobody’s really spending money. They’re living only POCs. There’s no production. This POC concept will be there for next three years. Maybe fourth year will get solid product, which will crack great impact in the business of everyone.

Zakaria Nishtar, Digital Processing System Kuwait

I have been busy at manning our booth, so I haven’t had quite the chance to explore the many things around. However, as far as the enquiries that are coming into our stall, I feel, many are speaking on digital transformation. Digital processing systems majorly deal with digital transformation, and we found from talking to the people that transforming the organization certainly the need of the customers. A lot of companies are recognizing the importance of digitizing. And a lot of the time, maybe they already have some systems, but we help them kind of integrate it into one system, and one platform.
