RAH Infotech To Expand Geographically, Invest Big On Sales

Headquartered in Gurugram, RAH infotech is aiming to expand both in terms of geographical coverage and vertical-wise and technology. The leading distributor for handful of products has now presence in almost all corners of the country. Ashok Kumar, Founder-CEO of RAH Infotech shares with B Swaminathan his company journey in the recent past and road ahead. Edited Excerpts.

Swaminathan (Swami): How you view your organization’s performance in FY 2015-16

Ashok Kumar (Ashok):It has been one of the best fiscals for us with a growth of 60+% YoY and getting over the target line well before time. We over achieved in many areas.

Swami:
List out the highlights of your organization in FY2015-16

Ashok: In FY2015-16, our focus was on consolidating our portfolio of product/solution offerings and to achieve that, we added new or better product lines and moved away from alliance with certain vendors. These critical strategic moves helped us bring to table the kind of technologies/products our customers and partners prefer.

Swami: List out the top 5 achievements of your organizations in FY2015-16

  • Over achieving the targets
  • 60+% growth YoY
  • Key tie-ups to expand our solutions into DNS security, Storage and backup
  • Renewed focus on Government vertical
  • Added many new accounts and channel partners

Swami: What are the plans you are having for your organization for the forthcoming year

Ashok: We have plans to expand into newer territories and also up the sales and presales staff strength by 20%. Apart from this, we plan to tie-up with global giants in cloud, IoT and data center solutions to bring these technologies to our partners and customers in India, Singapore and Dubai.

Swami: Please explain your expansion plans. (In terms of geography and workforce)

Ashok: As mentioned earlier, we are looking at expanding to newer territories to cash-in on the untapped potential in these markets and at the same time, we will be expanding the team size to over 100 employees to go with our geographical expansions.

Swami: What are the key industry verticals your current clientele houses?

Ashok: We have a good mix of clientele from various verticals including IT/ITeS,
Telecommunication, BFSI, Manufacturing, Government, Education, Healthcare and Retail to name a few.

Swami: What are the key industry verticals you want to focus in the coming fiscal?

Ashok: Our focus verticals for the coming fiscal would be Government, IT/ITeS, BFSI, Manufacturing and Education.

Swami: In an interview, you had mentioned about your strong visionF-Secure on the security aspects of digital India campaign. If given an opportunity, what are the ways RAH Infotech can be a part of the campaign?

Ashok: Service providers play a key role in making India a leader in IT use in services like health, education, public cloud, internet access etc. With over a decade of experience in providing digital solutions and services to organisations big and small, RAH Infotech understands this dream of our nation and is well positioned to help India go Digital.
