Post Hyderabad, Raksha Eyes Mumbai, Pune Markets

Chennai based Raksha Technologies, a prominent player mainly in the security segment has expanded their wings beyond Tamil Nadu. In an endeavor to cover the entire South India, Raksha has expanded out of their base Tamil Nadu, for the second time, after their operations in Bengaluru. The latest addition in them is the new physical office in Hyderabad. On the sidelines of inaugurating the branch in Panjagutta, Anand V, CEO of the company speaks with B Swaminathan on the official announcement of the new branch and other plans.

Swaminathan (Swami) Please explain about your Hyderabad operations.

Hyderabad is the fourth physical branch for Raksha.  To be a dominant player in the country, we aimed at covering South India first. On the other side, we have highly skilled team and one way to take them to the next level is giving them regional responsibilities. So the new Hyderabad operations happened all for a reason.

Swami: What are the key reasons you felt you need a physical branch in Hyderabad?

Anand: Telangana is the new state and they have a great vision to make it big. Hyderabad has attracted major players like Microsoft, Apple, Facebook , Google and Amazon. Also there are large IT Companies in Hyderabad and it makes sense to be there. If we are present in a growth-oriented markets, there is a high possibility of growth.

Swami: What are the industry verticals you are planning to focus through the new operations?

Anand: IT, Pharma , Education , Healthcare, Manufacturing  and Government. In fact, come Aug 24, we are also planning to conduct an event in Hyderabad along with Ingram Micro and IBM. During the event, we will be discussing on Next generation collaboration, Enterprise security solutions and analytical solutions.

Swami: What are the services you are planning provide through the new branch?

Anand: Information Security , Information Availability , Network , Systems and Mobile Device
Management , Secure Wifi ,Networking Products and Services.

Swami: Will there be further more branches you are planning to expand?

Anand: We will be foraying in the west like Pune and Mumbai shortly.

Swami: More than the existing vendors in your website, are you planning to increase the numbers?

Anand: Yes we keep innovating and adding specialized vendors  to bridge the solution gap that exists in the  customer It infrastructure.SATCOM_Latest

Swami: You are more specialized in the security solutions. What are the other focus areas you will be planning to focus on?

Anand: We feel there is still lot more to be achieved by going deep in information security services. There is still lot of scope in expanding info sec portfolio itself. Insider threat management, Application Whitelisting, Ransomware Specific Solutions , East West Security , APT , to name a few .

Swami: Other than this physical office, what are your expansion plans? (In terms of team, new offices, new alliances etc)

Anand: Remote Security Operations Center and Managed Security Options are on the cards . With these offerings we will not limit ourselves to India and will go to other parts of the world too.
