Ernakulam, March 11: Kochi based Pooja tech, a leading distributor for anti-virus security solutions and other computer hardware products has decided to foray into retail business.
“In Kochi, the top retailer is in a turnover of around INR 90 cr. And the following retailer stands at INR 50cr per year. We want to fill the gap and stand between the two and fill the space.”, said Ram Agarwal, CEO of Pooja tech. “We will be continuing with our regular distribution business. However, we also have plans for moving with the retail segment. We have moved to new office of an area of 3000 square feet.” He also said that expansion of retail business in other segments beyond their new facility will happen in the FY18-19.
Solutions business:
Ram also said that the company is planning to eye to be a system integration firm. “Considering the amount of returns in the SI business, we have plans to focus on the business with special focus on network security and CCTV products distribution and installations.”, he said.
He also said that the company is looking for the right team and if that happens, the company is planning to explore the opportunities in the space. “ We are open for companies who want to assocaitie with us for both installation and distribution. “, Ram Agarwal concluded.
