Singapore, June 4: Cambium Networks the leading global provider of wireless broadband solutions that connect the unconnected is planning to expand . Through its extensive portfolio of reliable, scalable and secure WiFi and wireless broadband point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PMP) platforms managed by cloud-based software, Cambium Networks makes it possible for all service providers; enterprises; governmental and military agencies; oil, gas and utility companies; Internet service providers; and public safety networks to build powerful communications networks, reach users from 200 kilometers across mountain tops down to the last Himansumeter to their devices and intelligently manage their infrastructure through end-to-end network visibility and actionable analytics.

Himanshu Motial, Regional Vice President at Cambium Networks, speaks with Cell IT on the company’s focus for India. “We have a strong channel presence of channel partners across India with 250 odd channel partners through 4 national distributors.  Our solutions are unique and unlike traditional network companies. While many of them connect internally, our solutions connect two different external worlds or the internal to external.” Himanshu also quotes the example of the recent Olympics where Cambium networks solutions were deployed extensively in connecting with various stadiums across different locations. He also claims that their connectivity ranges extends up to 200 kms.

Special partner focus in India:

“We initially had only high-end solutions. However, we revamped our solutions accessible for best price aspects. So, as an SI/channel partner, responsible for the complete organization infrastructure, we assure Cambium networks should be the best preferred option for cost-efficiency and great performance.” Himanshu also added that he is looking out for Indian channel partners. “Even though we do not believe in just increasing the channel by head count, we would like to have quality partners on board. In that way we would be interested in the having channel partners who have the efficient team looking for the best OEM to collaborate.

 E-Gov projects:

Cambium network current focus is on the ‘Smart Cities’ and ‘Digital India’. “Some of the key projects which are already in my charts are state-wide connectivity, rural connectivity, RailTel and more. The APAC head also added that India houses one of their 3 global R&D centres and those R&D works echoes by India and for India and outside India. On a concluding note, Himanshu also hints the prospects of manufacturing in India. “It is in a ground zero level. However, if the opportunities turn favourable, why not under ‘Make In India?”, Himanshu concludes.
