Top Industry Associations Partner with CeBIT India 2015 to further India’s Digital Economy

  • A conglomerate of IT associations including FICCI, MAIT, CLIK, FAIITA, and FITDAK will be exhibiting at CeBIT India 2015, set to be held from October 29th – 31st, 2015

CeBIT India 2015, organized by Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary company of the global joint venture of Deutsche Messe (Germany) and Fiera Milano Group (Italy), promises to unite the entire IT ecosystem in the country by partneringwith key IT associations including Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Manufacturers Association for Information Technology (MAIT), Consortium of Electronic Industries of Karnataka (CLIK), Federation of All India IT Association(FAIITA), and Federation of IT Dealers’ Associations-Karnataka (FITDAK). Scheduledto be held from 29th-31st October, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), CeBIT India 2015 will also host leading women entrepreneurs in the country as a part of a special Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of India (COWE) pavillion.

According to recent estimates by DeitY, India imports worth USD 100 billion of electronic items every year. At this scale, is it estimated to touch USD 400 billion by 2020, possibly surpassing the import bill on fuel. To counter this gnawing deficit, the government’s Digital India program intends to promote the country as an attractive destination for setting up manufacturing facilities.Themed D!economy or Digital Economy, CeBIT India will support the Government vision of Digital India by creatinga networkof business opportunitiesand a digital marketplace for the Indian IT enterprise.

Recongizing the importance that the MSME sector plays in Indias Digital vision, CeBIT India will will showcase the innovation and strength of the Indian SMEs/MSMEs through exclusive pavillions by FICCI, MAIT, CLIK, FAIITA, FITDAK, and STPI. Approximately 200+MSMEs will take part in CeBIT India this year. With the support from Ministry of MSMEs and these Industry Associations, CeBIT hopes to boost the contribution of Indian MSMEs, currently at 8% of India’s GDP.
