South IT Association Confed and Sneham IT Association submits letter to Deputy CM of Tamil Nadu for relaxation

As businesses temporarily shut down due to the lockdown, most will be wondering how they will be able to afford their rent, salaries and other house expenses. All the business are in standstill and that was the most required to keep the graph of Corona decline. Central and State Governments are taking their best measures to tackle Covid-19 and the first concern for everyone would be protecting themselves, their family, their society, their state and their country.

We all understand protecting ourselves is the first criteria but at the same time meeting the monthly expenses of family is also important. An average small and medium businessman can bear for one or two months but then they need to think about their monthly expenses. Looking to this Central Government has issued guidelines and this could help us to start at some moment of time. Even State Government has been taking many decisions depending upon the state’s situation on basis of the spread of disease.

For protecting the IT Dealer fraternity, South India IT Association Confed and Sneham IT Association met Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and submitted letter of request to the Tamil Nadu Government explaining their issues due to lockdown.

Ramesh Babu, Secretary, Sneham IT Association of Chennai shares, “We all are facing very tough situation due to the lockdown crisis and as a Sneham office bearer we are trying to put our efforts requesting the Govt so that we can open our stores as per the Govt guidelines. After receiving the letter Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister O Panner Selvam forwarded the letter to the Chief Secretary Office immediately which was a positive move.

The letter states that, Our Association members have customers in the field of Heath care, Government Departments including Administration, Banks, Police Department and important industries. We understand the risk involved in going outside due to COVID 19 Pandemic and that is the reason many IT Professionals, dealers are working from home and providing their services to the clients. But most of the time handling from home is not feasible as it needs direct presence to handle the situation, so to support our clients we request the government to provide us a pass so that we are not stopped when we open shop and visit to clients.

As a responsible association we shall take necessary precautions like wearing mask, carrying alcohol-based sanitizer, and we shall move within the restricted time between 10am to 2pm from monday to friday as per the Government norms. If required the association can also take the responsibility by issuing passes.

This move will also definitely help the common man to use the Computers and Laptops for Internet Banking, Email Order processing, Online Payments, GST etc. We once again assure you that we will follow the guidelines and necessary precautions will be taken to protect our employees and customers”.
