Puducherry: The much-awaited annual computer exhibition by the inhabitants of in and around Puducherry by ITTA-P is slated to happen in January 2018. This year, the association is targeting the students, SOHO, enterprises and home users’ technology update and to generate more revenue for our IT vendor/dealer communities.
Some of the products that will be showcased in 90 stalls through channel partners include, HP, Dell, Cisco, Samsung, Canon, Intel, Lenovo, ASUS, Microsoft. The event will happen in a fully air-conditioned venue spanning around 1000 Sq Meters. According to the association close to 18 Thousand footfalls are likely to get registered during this event. Apart from the channel partner stalls, there are also plans for having an exclusive hall for the brand showcase for IT Vendors.
“The event brings in Majority of Consumers, Corporate Houses, Government Sectors and Educational
Institutions. The event has ensured a visibility through media campaigns through newspapers, magazines, social media, TV channels, FM radios, and hoardings. Media coverage in and around Pondicherry (Main Hub), Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chidambaram, Neyveli, Karaikal are also commenced,” said a media note.
D. Venougobalou, Chairman of the exhibition said ‘After the last year’s IT exhibition, computer market has done very well. Now after the GST implementation also, we are expecting more business and customers from various states and cities at the exhibition. And the footfall is expected to be 25,000 to 30,000.”
The chairman further added, “We are planning to allot a separate stall for electronic waste (e-waste). The consumers can get their e-waste and get rid of them. They will be given a coupon against their particular e-waste product to shop at the exhibition”.
