Mumbai, March 29: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and CIO KLUB announced the launch of 2nd Edition of “BSE-CIO KLUB IT awards” – an award to recognize and honor CIOs who have set new benchmarks and have effectively used technology to improve business objectives.
The ceremony is aimed at identifying and promoting CIOs Using technology to build enterprise excellence and demonstrated leadership.

Speaking on this occasion Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of BSE, said “that the BSE-CIO KL
UB IT awards will be a unique recognition for CIOs. The award nomination can be done by CIOs of BSE listed companies, as well as member CIOs of the CIO KLUB”.
Shirish Gariba, President of CIO KLUB, announced that the best CIO would be chosen after a rigorous process. “We have engaged EY to guide us through the awards process. They will screen the nomination forms to help ensure completeness and
compliance with the various evaluation parameters defined. The qualified entries will then be critically analysed and scored by a panel of esteemed jury members. The jury will consist of experienced industry professionals who have excelled in their fields.”
The forum has introduced a new special award for “Emerging tec
hnology start-up” to recognise technology start-up and help CIOs to take advantage of their offering to benefit enterprises.
Apart from the two special awards (CIO Business Leader and Emerging Technology Start-Up), there will be 15 industry vertical-wise “CIO of the year” awards.
This is claimed to be the only award initiated jointly by one of the largest IT user companies and India’s largest IT user community organization.
