Confed-ITA New Team Assumes Charge; Aims Creating Impact In Trade

Kovalam, May 9: The new team of Confederation of IT association, the Tamil Nadu based IT association, has concluded their summit here with the new team headed by Balasubramanian assumed charge.

The event was organized at a private resort among 500 odd channel partners across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Inaugurating the summit, R Balasubramaniam, the new president of the association said that the new team will focus only on innovation. “True to the theme of the event, ‘Suvadugal Padhippom’ (Let’s make impact), the association and the office bearers will work towards creating positive impact amongst the members.”, he said.

Bharathi Krishnakumar, writer-movie maker, who was the chief guest of the event, made an interesting speech requesting the members to help poor kids. “There is no need you[channel partners] need to help them financially. However, even if you can help them get educated and come up in life, that would be of a great help.”, he said.

N Sivanesan, who dons multiple caps including the president of Federation of All Trade & Industry Associations of Erode District, was the guest of honor. “We need innovation. This is the right time, you[ IT community] should stop thinking about the e-sale and think of new avenues which will take you to the next level.”

Tally solutions the principal sponsor of the event had trained the members about the way the company wants to grow with the channel partners and what are their channel plans. HP India explained their new-age computing devices and how the company is planning to bring value to the channel community amidst the global decline of the PC business.

New Secretary:

Manikandan, the secretary of the association had resigned his post stating some personal commitment. Following that, a new representation from the Trichy region comprising of the surrounding districts were called for. Following that, Sujay K Vijayan, president of the Cholamandalam IT association (click here to read) was nominated.It was decided unanimously on floor that Sujay is the new secretary of the association.

Highlights of the event:

The summit overall was a reflection of ancient culture and tradition of the soil.

The biggest attention-gathering of the summit was the welcoming of the guests by the ‘Nadaswaram and Melam’ rather than routine music.

The previous team headed by Senthil Kumar appeared on stage in a cultural attire and handed over the charges.

While announcing the name of the new secretary, there were some confusion and dialogues whether he can be elected on floor. However, the president demanded a clap sound in request of Sujay becoming the Secretary.

John G Kottara of AKITDA (All Kerala IT Dealers Asscoation)- Thiruvananthapuram unit welcomed the new team.

While the entire South India had state representation with Arun Nagaraja of FiTDAK (Karnataka IT Association), Liju Raju of (President of All Kerala IT Dealers Association) participated in the meeting, only Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had failed representation as a state while the presidents of the individual districts including Deepak Naidu of Nellore had participated

Dindigul IT association was named the Best association awards for successfully conducting the sports activity and EC meet.

Senthil Kumar, former president of the association announced in the forum, the Com-Com products, the products designed by and for the confed members will be reaching the members soon as most of the works are completed.
