APSSDC (Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation) on behalf of Government of Andhra Pradesh and UK Health Education England (HEE) has exchanged MoU in the presence of OMCAP for training the nursing students to cater the immediate needs for nursing in UK. To fulfill the dream of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy in providing more employment to the youth of Andhra Pradesh.
APSSDC will give necessary training for the final year nursing students and they can help in clearing the screening test like IELTS (international English Language Testing System) in the first stage and NMC Part-1 and Part-2 in the next stages.
OMCAP will support in processing the VISA and any problems faced by these nursing students during their job role in UK. APSSDC is targeting to pick up atleast 100 students from different nursing colleges (Government / Private) in this financial year, in the coming financial years APSSDC is trying to increase the above said number and we are going to target and implement Skill Hour from 2nd Academic year for nursing students. As on date Kerala State Nursing students are getting more jobs in the country while APSSDC with the collaboration of HEE UK will definitely stand Number One in placing job’s to Nurses Nationally and internationally.
In this program on behalf Andhra Pradesh Government, Chairman APSSDC Sri Challa Madhusudhan Reddy, Spl Chief Secretary for Higher Education and Skill Development Sri J.S.V Prasad (IAS), Principal Secretary LET&F Smt B Udaya Lakshmi(IAS) and on behalf of Health Education England(HEE) UK Mr. Andrew Fleming British Deputy High Commissioner for AP & TS, Mr. Ed Rose, Prof Ged Byrne, Catch Beech (HEE) UK participated in the exchange of MoU made by MD & CEO Sri Arja Srikant and Mr. Andrew Fleming British Deputy High Commissioner for AP & TS at APSSDC Head Office, Tadepalli, Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh has participated.
