Tirupur: Tirupur Information Technology Association (TITA) has recently conducted the general elections recently and the new team has sworn in.
Pratheesh Mathew will be the new president for the next fiscal. Arumuham. M, the present Seceretary will continue to serve the association in the same capacity. The other office bearers include Prem Kumar S (Treasurer), Siva Kumar R (VP), Balakumar (Joint-Secretary). Other than the above-mentioned, 10 the executive members has sworn in. Mahendra Prabhu.S, Ramesh.L, Somu.L, Sankaran.R,Arunachalam. T ,Mouleetharan.S, Sivasakthvel.S, Thangamani.M, Karthikeyan.M and R Palanisamy.

whereas member get together, social welfare and business motivation. Apart from this I am planning to invent the legal support for the members in case of bad debts and they are losing much money now a days with the help of one internal arbitration team .”, says Pratheesh Mathew. Apart from this the association has a plan to invent many business inventions to members to capitalise in solution business.
Initiative towards B2B Business:
Tirupur, being a key industrial hub, has less connect with TITA in terms of winning the deals. “For unknown reasons, there is no connect between the IT association and the other industry bodies in the region. My team would initiate to break the ice between the local associations and ensure that the deals would go within the association members and not for competition from market outside.”, Pratheesh said further rolled out a plan to reach out to all educational institutions and build rapport between the association and the institutions.
On the key challenges, he said the threat of online is no relevant anymore. However, the reducing margins are becoming key concern for the members. “Our association has three type of partners- typical retailers, service providers and software developers/web-developers/ product-companies. We will try our level best in a way our activities make relevance for all the members and not just one segment.”
The association has not decided the actual date of swearing in in the view of the forthcoming Confed-ITA summit. The new members will assume office along with the association’s General Body meeting in the second half of April.
