Samsung is all set to launch its flagship smartphones Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in India . However, the company has already introduced the Enterprise edition of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy A8 smartphones in Germany. The company is calling the enterprise edition as truly “business-first”.
The South Korean tech giant says that apart from the business centric features such as after-sales support and enterprise-deployment software all the other specifications remain the same. The company says that both the device will get three-year licenses for Knox Configure (Dynamic Edition) and the Enterprise Firmware Over-The-Air service (E-FOTA on MDM).
With the Knox Configure, IT administrators will be able to configure the Samsung devices remotely and will also be able to update them at once. Along with this, it will also offer them the flexibility to schedule updates and reduce service interruptions and downtime. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will also receive three years of monthly security updates and quarterly updates for the fourth year.
On the other hand, talking about the Samsung Galaxy S8 Enterprise edition, the smartphone will only receive monthly update for the next three years.
The company also added that both the handsets will come with two years of manufacturer warranty. The Samsung Galaxy S9 Enterprise Edition will start selling from April this year in Germany and comes with a price tag of 849 Euros. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Enterprise edition is priced at 499 Euros.
Lekic, director of IM B2B at Samsung Electronics GmbH said, “With the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy A8, we’ve added two high-end business smartphones to the Enterprise Edition portfolio of devices that are specifically tailored to business needs. This allows business customers to benefit from a comprehensive solution package that meets existing enterprise mobility requirements to a high degree. As a result, both companies and employees are optimally positioned for digital day-to-day work.”
