VIJAYAWADA: NTR Complex, the famous electronics bazaar of Andhra Pradesh is all set to become IT hardware Park. The only complex in which you can find expensive and at the same time cheaper electronics, mobiles and computers in one roof. Before the division of state KOTI in Hyderabad was the right place for the people of AP to buy products at most reasonable price but things have changed after the division as the buyers tend to shift Vijayawada for their purchases due to inter-state taxation.
If we see few years back, the market was only for electronics. The assemblers of Radio, Television use to come and buy their components in this complex. But slowly the computer and mobile accessories shops came into existence, there were many new entrepreneurs starting their retail or wholesale business in the complex. Today, getting a shop is a big deal here, it’s too heavy priced. Managed by the municipal corporation, the government renews the agreement regularly and shops need to pay the monthly maintenance charges as rent.
To develop the complex, the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Chandra Babu Naidu announced NTR Complex as the future IT Hardware Park with an investment of 200 crores all set to change the location. The scenario will change in coming years as there will be lot of changes in the complex to make it as a State Hub for IT and electronics. Government issued a notice few months back in news paper for the allotment of the new second floor shops open to the public, but we gave the documented proposal requesting the Government to make it exclusively available for our IT association members. We co-ordinated many times with the government submitting the proposal with the changes and were back of it till it completes and it was finally known that Chief Minister announced NTR Complex as IT Hardware Park with a big investment. I am very happy as things happened with our efforts said Mr. Murali, President, VIJITA.
