The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the Minister for Information Technology, Communications and Panchayati Raj have been invited to participate in the 49th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The 49th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum is being held between 22nd – 25th January, 2019 in Davos, Switzerland and is expected to be attended by over 3000 leaders across the world including India. This summit will be attended by leaders across governments, business, government, academia, international organization, civil society, media and arts.
The event is attended by over 60 heads of states, heads of Fortune 500 companies, global innovators, heads of bilateral and multilateral institutions and heads of leading global educational and research institutions.
The Chief Minister, Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu, has been invited as a guest of honour over 15 times. The honourable Chief Minister has also participated in the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2018 which took place between 23rd and 26th, January 2018 in Davos, Switzerland.
Nara Lokesh, Minister for Information Technology, Communications and Panchayati Raj will be leading the delegation from Andhra Pradesh to the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The delegation consists of Dr. Poonam Malakondaiah, Principal Secretary to Govt., Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department, T Vijay Kumar IAS Retd – Adviser to Govt of Andhra Pradesh, Agriculture Dept, Ajay Jain, Principal Secretary, EI & I, J Krishna Kishore, Chief Executive Officer APEDB & Ex-Officio Secretary to Govt, Solomon Arokiaraj, Secretary Industries, Ahmed Babu, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, APIIC and Ramanjaneyulu, Secretary, I&PR and Dr. Jitendar Sharma, Adviser to Health Dept.
The visit of Nara Lokesh is to strengthen the State’s network with the global investment community, explore possibilities of collaboration and promote Andhra Pradesh as an investment destination.
Nara Lokesh will be contributing as a speaker in 12 sessions and will participate in 30 high-level bilateral meetings at the World Economic Forum, Davos.
