APSSDC Organises Cloud Skills Day with Amazon Web Services

DSC_0227Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) organized a special program called Cloud Skills Day at A Convention Center in Vijayawada under Amazon Web Services.

To this event, Minister of Minister for Law & Justice, Skill Development, Youth, Sports, Unemployment Benefits, NRI Empowerment and Relations Sri. Kollu Ravindra, APSSDC MD & CEO K. Sambasiva Rao, Deputy CEO Dr Krithika Shukla, Special Chief Secretary Sri.J.S.V Prasad , IAS, Special Secretary to APSSDC Dr.Ghanta Subbarao, APSSDC Founder Member, Dr. K. Lakshmi Narayana IAS (Retd.), in addition to Asia Pacific & Japan, AWS Head Mr. Vincent Quah, Alexa Amazon India Solution Architect Mr. Durga Prasad, Amazon Web Services Education India Head Sunil, AWS Educate India Program Manager Mr. P Dasgupta, and other government officials are attended. On this occasion, in the presence of Minister Kollu Ravindra, Amazon Cloud, Amazon Educate, to train in Alexa APSSDC MD & CEO K. Sambasiva Rao and Amazon Web Services Education India Head Sunil exchanged MoU documents.

DSC_295On this event, Minister of Minister for Law & Justice, Skill Development, Youth, Sports, Unemployment Benefits, NRI Empowerment and Relations Sri. Kollu Ravindra said that I’m very happy for Amazon the world’s leading company in the field of cloud computing come up with skill training to train our state students. The first time in India is to train with Amazon, along with APSSDC. About 75% of cloud computing is Amazon. With the help of APSSDC, we are providing skill training to students and unemployed youth with large organizations like Siemens, Dassault, Google and Amazon across the state. Also providing training in Aerospace, Automotive and Ship Building. Furthermore, unlike any state we are giving Rs. 1000/- Nirudyoga Bruthi to 3, 31,672 unemployed youth along with skill training in the name of Mukyamantri Yuva nestam scheme. Everywhere in the IT industry around the world, one of the 10 people will be Telugu; this is all our Hon’ble Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu credit.

Earlier APSSDC MD & CEO K. Sambasiva Rao stated that, “we have already provided short-term training to 30,000 students under Amazon Web Services. We are aiming to provide skill training to the 1 Lakh students to the next year. The main objective of the program is to train the students to get their education and other skills and to get jobs done.”

Under the Amazon Educate, students are trained in the cloud division. Amazon Web Services could provide more job opportunities by making Amazon company available to their companies. We already provided training in different types of latest technologies including Dassault and Siemens at 100 CM Excellence Centers across the state, said Deputy CEO Krithika Shukla.

“It has been a privilege to work with APSSDC since 2017. What started as a pilot has now grown exponentially in scale and depth of engagement. We commend APSSDC for their clear vision in skills enablement and cloud literacy across Andhra Pradesh, which is important as a growth engine for the State. By 2020, employment and employment opportunities will double in the cloud division. We have travelled 18 hours to participate in this event.
